SOUND SUPPORT FOR LIVES AFFECTED BY ALS

The Power of Music CCALS webinar

I had a great pleasure of meeting the Compassionate Care ALS team and community through a Zoom call in November 2023. We explored the ways music in its various forms can be of help to persons living with ALS and their families and caregivers. We spoke about neurobiology, spirituality and importance of sharing music daily with each other. There were some tough questions to brainstorm, live music, and – in November, mind you – a live monarch butterfly attending the workshop.

I hope you enjoy the recording and find it helpful.

Here is the part with an experiential – a Native American flute narrated musical meditation (35:11):

You can find this track in Downloads under “Sound Blanket for Relaxation” title. Feel free to comment or contact me on LinkedIn if you have any questions!

Finally, if you need help and advice for living with ALS / MND, CCALS website has plenty of resources which I wholeheartedly recommend.
